Half the admitted students who submitted SAT scores landed between 1,295 and 1,501 in total. A quarter scored below 1,295. A quarter scored above 1,501.
It is not a cutoff. It describes where the middle half of one admitted cohort fell, after the fact. It says nothing about your chances, it excludes everyone admitted without submitting a score, and it cannot see anything else in an application. Treat it as orientation, not a target line.
